Our curriculum is designed to meet the diverse needs of our students and to give them the best learning opportunities possible, regardless of the pathway they choose. Our course structure aims to provide students with course selection variety, ownership and responsibility in the selection process, motivation through interesting, accessible and challenging units and the flexibility to diversify or specialise in a specific pathway(s).
Nagle students are able to select courses in:
- VCAA Year 10 classes
- Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)
- Victorian Certificate of Education Vocational Major (VCE VM)
- Vocational Education and Training (VET)
- Acceleration programs are also offered to Year 10 students who wish to study a VCE Unit 1 & 2 subject in advance of Year 11. Students who choose to accelerate their studies are given the opportunity to participate in an enhancement course and study a university subject whilst in Year 12. Acceleration programs allow Nagle students to experience life as a senior student earlier while increasing their opportunity to achieve a higher ATAR score.
Our Pathways and School Coordinators support students in their course selection by delivering various pathway programs and opportunities throughout the year. We are dedicated to supporting our students and ensuring that their pathway selections reflect their ambitions and aspirations beyond secondary school.
